The Moses Kotane Research Institute (MKRI) is mandated to stimulate a sustainable provincial economy through research, development and innovation; and to strategically lead in innovation and maritime co-ordination and implementation activities to respond to the needs of the provincial economy. In order to fulfil its mandate, the Institute is looking to appoint an Independent Contractor: Accountant, to support the Research Services Unit with projects currently being undertaken for the cable car initiative. The role will provide financial research, analysis, and advisory support to enable informed decision-making and effective project planning. The resource will be responsible for conducting financial analysis, developing and maintaining cash flow projections, providing strategic financial advice and support to project stakeholders, preparing research-based financial reports and presentations, and analysing budgets, revenue streams, and expenditure patterns.
