The Moses Kotane Institute (MKI) is an entity of the KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) Department of Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs (EDTEA). Its mandate is Research, Innovation Coordination and Maritime Coordination. MKI’s vision is to be an internationally recognised quality research, innovation and maritime institution driving economic development in province of KwaZulu-Natal. Its mission is to provide timely and accurate economic research to the Provincial government to support the attainment of radically transformed, inclusive and sustainable.
MKI, in partnership with the KwaZulu-Natal Liquor Authority (KZNLA), wishes to solicit quotations and proposals from service providers or a consortium of service providers to conduct research on the socio-economic impact of alcohol abuse and the oversaturation of licensed liquor outlets in KZN. The Terms of Reference (TORs) are available on MKI’s website: www.moseskotaneinstitute.com Proposals must be emailed to tenders@moseskotane.com by 02 March 2020, 16:30. Proposals received after the closing date will NOT be considered. MKI subscribes to the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act, 2000, (Act No.5 of 2000). There will be a three-stage evaluation process. The first stage is administrative compliance, the second is the technical evaluation and the final stage is the price and BEE evaluation. MKI reserves the right not to appoint.
