EXECUTIVE MANAGER: ICT AND INNOVATION

Background:      The Moses Kotane Institute is an entity of the KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Government through the Department of Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs (EDTEA), with a mandate to conduct world class research into training, skills development, and provincial strategies economic sections; to strategically lead innovation and maritime co-ordination and implementation activities to respond to the needs of the provincial economy. It also coordinates interaction between line functions or sector departments established or envisage provincial government training institutions, tertiary institutions, and other external service providers.  The institution is looking for the experienced and qualifying individuals to fulfil this new role.  Applications are invited from South African Citizens, residing in KwaZulu-Natal.

Requirements:             Master’s Degree ICT and or Innovation at NQF Level 09. PhD will be an added advantage

Experience:                Minimum 5 years’ experience in ICT/ CTO, Management Level

Remuneration:           DPSA Level 14

Duration:                      5 years, renewable based on performance

Responsibilities:          Responsible for executive leadership and development of strategic and operational plans for the ICT and Innovation Unit. Accountable for decisions relating to the technological programs/ projects of the organisation. ICT and Innovation business research. To champion the operationalisation of the provincial ICT and Innovation strategies.
