Background:                The Moses Kotane Institute is an entity of the KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Government through the Department of Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs (EDTEA), with a mandate to conduct world class research into training, skills development, and provincial strategic economic sections; and to strategically lead in innovation and maritime co-ordination  and implementation activities to respond to the needs of the provincial economy. It also coordinates interaction between line functions or sector departments established or envisaged provincial government training institutions, tertiary institutions, and other external service providers. The institution is looking for the experienced and qualifying individuals to fulfil this new role.  Applications are invited from South African Citizens, residing in KwaZulu-Natal.

 

Requirements:              LLB, Admission as an Attorney/Legal Practitioner (NQF Level 8)

 

Remuneration:             Experiential Learner/Internship Stipend (contact us for the amount)

 

Duration:                     2 years

 

Experience:                 Minimum 2 years’ experience in the Labour Law (including CCMA) and Contract (drafting and management)

Responsibilities:         Legal Administration. Legal research; Drafting of opinions; Drafting and review of policies; Drafting and vetting of contracts; Labour dispute resolution and CCMA matters.
