Background: The Moses Kotane Institute is an entity of the KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Government through the Department of Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs (EDTEA), with a mandate to conduct world class research into training, skills development, and provincial strategic economic sections; and to strategically lead in innovation and maritime co-ordination and implementation activities to respond to the needs of the provincial economy. It also coordinates interaction between line functions or sector departments established or envisaged provincial government training institutions, tertiary institutions, and other external service providers. The institution is looking for the experienced and qualifying individuals to fulfil this new role. Applications are invited from South African Citizens, willing to relocate to KwaZulu-Natal.
Requirements: An Honor’s Degree in IT or Computer Science or an equivalent in the related field. A Master’s Degree will be an added advantage.
Experience: 5 years’ experience in an IST related environment.
Remuneration: DPSA Level 12

Responsibilities: The Manager: Information Systems and Technology duties, include but not limited to Managing the implementation of sub-unit strategic and operational plans. Develop and manage IT plans, policies and procedures. Management of IST Operations. Technical Support and fault resolution. IST Asset management administration. Management of sub-unit budget. Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships. People Management.
