INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR LEGAL PRACTITIONER: CANNABIS OPERATIONS ADVERTISEMENT

Background: The Moses Kotane Institute is an entity of the KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Government through the Department of Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs (EDTEA), with a mandate to conduct world class research into training, skills development, and provincial strategic economic sections; and to strategically lead in innovation and maritime co-ordination and implementation activities to respond to the needs of the provincial economy. The institution seeks to appoint experienced and qualifying individuals, as Independent Contractor in its Research Unit for the position of Legal Practitioner: Cannabis Operations. Applications are invited from South African Citizens, residing in KwaZulu-Natal.
Requirements:LLB Degree (NQF 7)
Experience: Experience in Cannabis research projects; Administration and Advisory role.
Duration: 3 years – Project specific – Performance Agreement to be entered into upon appointment.

Responsibilities: Attend to legal advisory duties related compliance and regulatory requirements of Cannabis Operations.
