ENTERPRISE DEVELOPMENT PRACTITIONER-ACCOUNTING

Background:    The Moses Kotane Institute is an entity of the KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Government through the Department of Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs (EDTEA), with a mandate to conduct world class research into training, skills development, and provincial strategic economic sections; and to strategically lead in innovation and maritime co-ordination  and implementation activities to respond to the needs of the provincial economy. It also coordinates interaction between line functions or sector departments established or envisage provincial government training institutions, tertiary institutions, and other external service providers. The institution seeks to appoint 2 experienced and qualifying individuals, as Enterprise Development Practitioner in its Maritime Unit. Applications are invited from South African Citizens, residing in KwaZulu-Natal.

  Requirements:         Honours Degree in Accounting. Registration with Recognised Professions for Accounting Officers in terms of CIPC. Driver’s License

Experience:                Minimum 3 years’ working experience in accounting services including at least 1-year registration with a recognised profession listed under the CIPC.

Duration:                   2 years – Project specific

Remuneration:          DPSA Level 10

Specific Expertise:     Ability to coach effectively. Knowledge of Accounting and CIPC Services.

Responsibilities:    Develop Financial Models for various business. Develop Financial Projections. Undertake CIPC and SARS accounting officer duties. Evaluate Business Plans.
