EDUCATION AND TRAINING QUALITY ASSURANCE PRACTITIONER

Background:                The Moses Kotane Institute is an entity of the KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Government through the Department of Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs (EDTEA), with a mandate of providing an internationally recognised quality research driving the economic development and innovation in the province. It does this by providing timely and accurate research to support the attainment of radically transformed, inclusive and sustainable economic growth for the province in partnerships with public and private sector. The institution is looking for the experienced and qualifying individuals to fulfil this role.  Applications are invited from South African Citizens, residing in KwaZulu-Natal.

Requirements:              Honours degree in Commerce, ICT, Engineering (NQF Level 8).  Registration as a Constituent Moderator with at least three different Sector Education and Training Authorities (SETAs). Driver’s license

Experience:                Minimum 5 years’ experience in working with the SETAs. Proof of having successfully applied and obtained accreditation for at least one full qualification.

Remuneration:             DPSA Level 10

Duration:                     12 months as may be required for specific duties – Performance Agreement to be entered into upon appointment.

Skills:                          Organisational and planning Skills, good verbal and written communication skills, computer literate at an advanced level. Flexibility. Adaptability. professional and ethical conduct. Good interpersonal skills. Report writing           Ability to work under extremely tight deadlines. Above average business writing skills.

Responsibilities:          Develop Institutional and Programme Accreditation Plans. Make applications and follow-up on accreditation applications. Compile and present accreditation reports. Evaluate learning programme files.

Correspondence:          Shortlisted candidates will be required to undergo competency testing and verification processes. Interested candidates must submit a covering letter, CV, certified copy of ID, certified copy of driver’s licence and certified copies of qualifications (SAQA evaluated if foreign).
