Background: The Moses Kotane Institute is an entity of the KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Government through the Department of Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs (EDTEA), with a mandate to conduct world class research into training, skills development, and provincial strategies economic sections; to strategically lead in innovation and maritime co-ordination and implementation activities to respond to the needs of the Provincial economy. It also coordinates interaction between line functions or sector departments established or envisaged provincial government training institutions, tertiary institutions, and other external service providers. The institution is looking for the experienced and qualifying individuals to fulfil this new role.
In view of the high rate of unemployed graduates within the KwaZulu-Natal Province, applications are invited from interested applicants who are South African Citizens willing to relocate to KwaZulu-Natal.
Requirements: A Diploma in Supply Chain Management or Finance related qualification. A Degree will be an added advantage. Must be youth between the ages of 18-35 and unemployed.
Experience: Minimum 1year relevant experience, particularly knowledge of SCM and procurement practices, Public Finance Management Act and Treasury Regulations.
Duration: 24-month contract performance based.
Duties: Assist in conducting demand management services. Assist the SCM Specialist in conducting acquisition management services- quotations. Assist in providing administration for bidding process-acquisition management and other functions in the SCM Unit & Finance unit.
Remuneration: Applicable Stipend.
