Background:The Moses Kotane Institute is an entity of the KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Government through the Department of Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs (EDTEA), with a mandate to conduct world class research into training, skills development, and provincial strategies economic sections; to strategically lead innovation and maritime co-ordination and implementation activities to respond to the needs of the provincial economy. It also coordinates interaction between line functions or sector departments established or envisage provincial government training institutions, tertiary institutions, and other external service providers.  The institution is looking for the experienced and qualifying individuals to fulfil this new role.  Applications are invited from South African Citizens, residing in KwaZulu-Natal.

Requirements: Honour’s degree in Econometrics, Mathematics and Statistics. A Master’s degree would be an added advantage.

Responsibilities: Research Practitioner duties, include but not limited to: Research Project Coordination, Conduct Research, Collect data, Analyse Data, research trends, evaluating economic issues using statistical software, and Report Writing. Present research findings to relevant stakeholders.
