Background information:

1.1. The Moses Kotane Institute (MKI) is an entity of the KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Government through the Department of Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs (EDTEA). Its mandate is to provide an internationally recognised quality research driving the economic development and innovation in the province. It does this by providing timely and accurate research to support the attainment of radically transformed, inclusive and sustainable economic growth for the province in partnerships with the public and private sector.
1.2. The Moses Kotane Institute invites proposals from suitably qualified and competent firms of attorneys to send proposals to be considered for inclusion on its panel of attorneys as ‘preferred service providers’. Preferred service providers imply that the selected firms are a pool, not necessarily the only contracted service provider. The panel of attorneys will be required to provide legal services to MKI, on an ad hoc basis.
1.3. The proposed panel will be appointed for a period of 36 months.
