Background:  The Moses Kotane Institute is an entity of the KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Government through the Department of Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs (EDTEA), with a mandate to conduct world class research into training, skills development, and provincial strategic economic sections; and to strategically lead in innovation and maritime co-ordination  and implementation activities to respond to the needs of the provincial economy. The institution is looking for the experienced and qualifying individuals to fulfil this new role.  Applications are invited from South African Citizens, residing in KwaZulu-Natal.

 

Minimum Requirements: A Bachelor’s Degree in Digital Marketing/ Marketing/Communications or a combination of a Bachelor’s Degree in related fields and an Advanced Diploma in Digital Marketing and or Communications each qualification should be from an accredited Tertiary Institution at NQF Level 7); Advanced experience and understanding of marketing using Digital and Social Media Platforms; 3 years-experience in a marketing or public relations role.

Remuneration:               DPSA Level 10

Duration:                        06 months

Core Competencies:      Excellent writing, presentation and overall communication skills. Innovative techniques, creativity, integrity, diligence, excellent team player, self-reliance, stakeholder engagement skills and general professionalism in all areas.

Responsibilities:             Responsible for all internal and external marketing and communication requirements of the Moses Kotane Institute, through print, radio, television, website, charts, scripts, photography and social media platforms digitally and otherwise, either as part of a specific campaign or on a holistic level, in an innovative manner. Brand maintenance and awareness as part of a specific campaign or on a holistic level. Design and administering website content, analysing relevant data and metrics, editing content, ensure professional and brand compliant output of all official communication, including but not limited to writing, editing and proofreading of speeches, scripts, annual reports, newsletters. Providing graphic design duties (including initiatives, actual designing). Organising, administering and project management of events and exhibitions for the organisation
