Background The Moses Kotane Institute is an entity of the KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Government through the Department of Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs (EDTEA), with a mandate to conduct world class research into training, skills development, and provincial strategic economic sections; and to strategically lead in innovation and maritime co-ordination and implementation activities to respond to the needs of the provincial economy. The institution is looking for the experienced and qualifying individuals to fulfil this new role. Applications are invited from South African Citizens, residing in KwaZulu-Natal.
Minimum Requirements: A Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing/Communications or a related field from an accredited Tertiary Institution (NQF Level 7); Advanced experience and understanding of marketing and communication using Digital, Audio, Print and Social Media Platforms; 3-5 years-experience as an all-rounder in marketing or communications or public relations.
Remuneration: DPSA Level 09
Duration: 06 months
Core competencies: Editing content; attention to detail, excellent team player, marketing knowledge, creativity, integrity, self-reliance and independent worker, above average writing, presentation, and communication skills.
Responsibilities: In charge of promoting Moses Kotane Institute to the public, through print, radio and television media, either as part of a specific campaign or on a holistic level; foster brand awareness; administering the organisation’s website content, analysing relevant data and metrics, editing content for MKI, ensure that all official communication (including but not limited to speech writing, annual reports and newsletters) is professional and brand compliant. Ability to use graphic design tools. Organising and administering events and exhibitions for the organisation
